The Armenia post, the last from the post-Soviet republics,
in the end of year published a postage issue on subject "Visit" according
to the program EUROPE 2012. "Tatev ropeway" such is a plot of the
stamp introduced into circulation on December 27, 2012. The stamp is printed in 2 types of sheetlets: in mini sheet of 4 values and 2
labels and in sheetlet of 6 values with memorable text on margins.

On October 16, 2010 in Armenia was put into operation the
longest in the world a reversive ropeway. Extent of the road located in Syunik
area near the Tatev monastery, makes 5,7 kilometers. The
ropeway consists of three support established between two stations. One of
stations is located on the hill over the village Galidzor, and another is near
the Tatevsky monastery. The cabin contains 25 people and moves with a speed up
to 37 km/h.
The way to one party takes about 11 minutes. The maximum height of a ropeway
over the gorge is 360
meters. "The world is mad, but you are mad a hundred times more
if you don't fly over it like a free bird…"
