girl"). On December 5, 2012 the Armenian post introduced into
circulation a postage stamp devoted to the 125th anniversary of the legendary
commander, participant of World War I and Russian Civil war Hayk Bzhishkyant (1887-1937). In Civil war under his command has
served the future great commander G.K. Zhukov. Subsequently in the memoirs he
with big respect responded about Hayk.

Hayk Bzhishkyant (Gai) took part in revolutionary movement
in Russia. During Civil war he battled against the Czechoslovak corps and
the Orenburg Cossacks of the general Butov. In 1918 near Simbirsk he suffered
defeat from White parts of lieutenant colonel V. Kappel. In June, 1935
on a denunciation Hayk Bzhishkyant was removed from all posts, dismissed from
Red Army, was arrested and shot. In 1956 it was posthumously
rehabilitated and restored in party. Gai is awarded by two St George's Crosses
and the medal for participation in World War I and two Awards of the Red Banner
for participation in Civil war.
