On November 16, 2012, the Estonia post represents the third
issue from series "Treasury of the Estonian Art Museum”. The plot of postage stamp
is devoted to the work of Estonian artist Lepo Mikko «Still life with Mandolin». The issue is printed in mini sheet of 8 values and label with decorating margins.

Lepo Mikko (1911-1978) was the Soviet painter, national
artist of the Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic. He wrote thematic pictures,
and also landscapes and still lives. An indicative example of creativity of
Mikko is his picture with the worn-out name «Still life with Mandolin». Canvas
with a similar plot and the name it is known much. First of all, it is
masterpieces of coryphaeuses of postimpressionism of Paul Gauguin and Pablo
Picasso. And also pictures of less known artists D. Mikhaylov and E.Obukhova. The
ideas and artistic images embodied by classics of world art, copied and gave
out as own not only Lepo Mikko. Ordinary draughtsmen duplicate them and until
now. However, it is not only in painting.
