In May, 2013 start on Earth orbit of the first Estonian
space satellite has to take place. Despite tiny dimensions and small weight -
only one kilogram, start of the satellite will cost 60 000 Euros. Mission will
be considered executed if in an outer space the cubic satellite leaves a
10-meter aluminum nanowire - an electric solar sail. On May 2, 2013 the Estonian post issues a postage block
devoted to the future entry of Estonia in the elite club of world space powers.

On May 7 the Guiana Space Centre in the French Guiana (South
America) becomes a launch pad for start of the rocket which, probably, will put
the mini-satellite made by Estonian students for tests of a solar sail invented
in Finland to Earth orbit. In case of successful start Estonia becomes 41
states in the world, launched into Earth orbit the satellite registered in the
UN. In November of the current year it is supposed to start the
Lithuanian SAT-1 satellite. The Latvian VENTA-1 satellite is already ready, but
about date of its start while there are no data.
