On December 1, 2012 the post of Moldova introduced into
circulation a series of 2 values "Christmas 2012". On stamps are
represented the icons from fund of the National museum of history and
archeology of Moldova.
The issue is printed in 2 mini sheets of 8 values and label. The stamps have the UV protection. Artist - Аlexandr Коrnienko.
On stamps and labels are submitted the following images: - 1.75 Lei - Icon "Christmas" (1903). On label are
a burning candle and a quatrain from the anthem "Today in Christmas
Eve". Edition - 200 thousand copies. - 5.40 Lei - the XIX century Icon "Christmas". On label
is represented the Christmas star and an anthem "From Above Rising
Star" fragment. Edition - 67 thousand copies..
