Today in the Russian Federation and around the world is
celebrated the Astronautics Day. This country, the first in the history
of mankind made outstanding technological breakthrough and subdued a space, as
the vehicle on mail delivery continues to use horse teams.
On April 26, 2013 the Russian post within the program “EUROPA”
plans to introduce into circulation a postage value on subject "Mail
Delivery Systems". On stamp is represented the three horses harnessed in
sledge as the most widespread way of delivery of mail during the winter period
in the XVIII century. However, looking on the speed of delivery of
correspondence and on work quality of the Russian post service, this vehicle
remains the most reliable and widespread post transport of Russia of the XXI
century.
The issue is printed in mini
sheets of 8 values with decorating margins.

The Russian mail - one of the oldest in Europe, arose in the
IX-X centuries. In the beginning yamskaya chase was used to which change
in the first half of the XVIII century came the post trinity. Thanks to
force, endurance and the speed of the Russian trinity which could transport
more freights and pass in almost impassable places, the post service
considerably accelerated correspondence delivery periods. At the end of
XVIII – the beginning of the XIX centuries on the trinity began to transport
not only post and freights, but also passengers. It received the official post
status, express and passenger carrier. Which, however, carries and until
now.
