Created on February 15, 1988 on basis of the Moldavian
ichthyologic wildlife area "Goyansky gulf", this year the Transnistrian
reserve Yagorlyk celebrates the 25 anniversary. Now the nature protection
object is in structure of the Eurasian union of reserves and is registered in
the register of the International reserved fund. The value of the state reserve
"Yagorlyk" is that many rare and endangered species of the plants located
on calcareous slopes of the river Yagorlyk here live.
On August 3, 2013 the Transnistrian post introduces into
circulation the second issue from series "25 anniversary of the Reserve
Yagorlyk". On set of 4 values and Block are
represeted the following species of protected reptiles: yellow-bellied snake,
sand lizard, marsh frog, frog, bog turtle. The stamps
are printed in 4 mini sheets of 8 sets with decorating margins and in collective sheetlet of 2 sets. Artist B. Ogli. Edition of stamps - 6600 copies. Edition of Block - 600

The area of the nature protection zone "Yagorlyk"
makes 1044 hectares
from which 250 hectares
are under water. The reserve is divided into 4 natural boundaries: Tsybulevka,
Balta, Dry Yagorlyk and Litvino. Now in "Yagorlyk" there are 101
species of the rare plants which are subject to the state protection, from them
16 types are included in the Red List. And also 86 bird species, 23 species of
mammals and more than one hundred species of insects, from which 40 species of
rare butterflies. From endangered species of reptiles the marsh turtle and a
yellow stomach runner are especially allocated.
