On February 2, 2013 in the museum "Powder Cellar" located within the walls of the Bendery fortress opens the historical exposition dated for the 300 anniversary of the King of Sweden of Charles XII stay in Bendery and Varnitsa. At an exhibition will be presented the unique exhibits of the Swedish Royal museum of the weapon, a number of pictures and drawings of the Bendery fortress of the XVIII century. Madam Ingrid Tersman the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden in Moldova will open the exhibition.
The participation in historical and cultural actions was designated also the Transnistrian post. On February 2, 2013 the enterprise "Stamp of Transnistria" will hold presentation of postage issue - Block of 4 values, an art envelope and the First Day cancel in Memory of one of the most outstanding personalities of the XVIII century, the self-sacrificing commander King of Sweden Charles XII (1982-1718). The postage Block is made on selfadhesive paper by the multi-colour printing with use of silver paint and with drawing seven-element number. It is printed at the Bendery printing plant by edition of 480 copies. The transnistrian post plans to use a part of issue edition as the memorable gifts to the official participants of exhibition, to the representatives of the Swedish delegation and personally to Madam Tersman.
Charles XII left after himself a rich historical heritage. He ascended to the throne at the age of 15 years and 3 years later for a long time left the country having started the numerous military campaigns which have stretched on 18 years with the purpose to make Sweden the dominating force in Europe. The Sweden Ambassador Madam Ingrid Tersman noted that the joint project of scientists of Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine and Transnistria on studying of political, military and humanitarian aspects of Charles XII stay on Dniester coast will allow making a new historical discoveries, including in the territory of legendary fortress.
