Mushrooms! At Chinese they symbolize longevity, immortality and persistence. Usually they are represented together with cranes and bats, as a symbol of long and happy life. Some people of Africa and Siberia see symbols of human soul in mushrooms, and in Mexico the sacred mushroom designates knowledge and enlightenment. In mythology of Slavs mushrooms are intermediate between animals and plants, and their origin contacts a meal of mythological beings.

On Saturday, November 17, 2012, in Bendery city the company "Marka Pridnestrovya" holds presentation and the First Day cancellation of the new postage issue - a set of 4 values and Block “Transnistria Mushrooms”. The stamps are printed in 2 types of sheets: in 4 mini sheets of 8 values and in collective sheetlet of 2 sets with texts on margins. Edition of each sheetlet and block is 600 copies.
Artist is Boris Ogly. On stamps are presented the following types of the edible mushrooms growing in Transnistria: aspen mushroom, mushroom umbrella, plyutey cervine, polish mushroom and autumn honey agaric. 

Which sign to collectors is submitted by publishers of this issue? Probably a hint that to owners of Transnistrian stamps longevity and the good luck, new knowledge and an enlightenment is prepared. And it can veil the message: be defined are you Person or Plant! And differently you will become Mushroom.
