07.28.2013 Ukraine. From Vladimir to Vladimir-Victor-Alexander
The enterprise of communications "Ukrposhta" together
with the post administrations of Russia and Belarus represents a joint postage
issue dated for the 1025 anniversary of the Christianization of Kievan Rus'. On
July 28, 2013 is introduced into circulation a postage block with image of a
fresco of the XIX century of Victor Vasnetsov "Epiphany of the Kiev inhabitants". The fresco is located in the Patriarchal cathedral St. Vladimir
in Kiev.

The mass baptism of inhabitants of Kiev, and then in other russian
cities in 988 the Kiev Prince Vladimir became the beginning of
process of acceptance and Christianity distribution in the Old Russian state
of Kievan Rus'. The Christianity became a leading religion in Russia and the
millennium later in the states which have become assignees of Kievan Rus'.
