On May 25, 2013 Kiev has a the Day of city. To the traditional sports both to the cultural events the city administration and the operator of post service "Ukrposhta" dated the presentation of a postage block devoted to the 100 anniversary of the First Russian Olympic Games taken place in Kiev on August 23-24, 2013. On block is submitted the photographic image of the Playground and a medal of the Kiev Olympic Games.

The First Russian Olympic Games in Kiev included 11 sports: track and field, gymnastics, fencing, fight, weightlifting, firing, swimming, motorcycle sport, lawn-tennis, football. Over 600 participants of the Olympic Games represented Moscow, St. Petersburg, Warsaw, Riga, Kiev, Odessa, Novorossiysk, Sevastopol, Rostov, Tiraspol and other cities. Most of all awards athletes of St. Petersburg won, the second place was taken by representatives of Ukraine, in particular, inhabitants of Kiev, on the third place Moscovites.
The Second Russian Olympic Games took place in 1914 in Riga. It was planned to hold the Third Olympic Games in Petersburg, and the Fourth in Moscow. However, the begun World war forever buried these intentions.
