The shipbuilding plant "North shipyard" (in the past «Putilov Shipyard», in the Soviet years - plant A. Zhdanov) is based on November 14, 1912 for construction of the ships for navy of the Russian Empire.
For century history at plant about 400 ships and vessels of different function were constructed. Among them about 170 ships for the Navy of Russia and the USSR equipped with the most modern for the time systems of arms.

Tomorrow 20 years are executed exactly from the moment of restoration of monetary system of the Independent Lithuanian republic. And yesterday, on September 29, 2012 the Lithuania post issued a postage stamp dated for this considerable event of national scale. On September 30, 2012 in the Russian Federation is issued into the post circulation a postage Block devoted to the 175 anniversary of the railways of Russia. On stamp in Block is presented the image of the anniversary of Russian Railways celebration emblem, on margins of Block are represented the trains and locomotives of different years: P36 series (1950) engine, electric locomotive ВЛ10 (1961-1986), ED9M electric train, high-speed train "Sapsan".
