16.09.2013 Estonie. Plat pour l'Empereur

"What magnificent mushrooms! - Delightfully ancient Roman emperor Claudius told the spouse Agrippina treating with his house dinner.- Why they didn't give to my table earlier? From now on let give me only such mushrooms!".
On September 12, 2013, in Estonia is introduced into post circulation a second issue devoted to the poisonous mushrooms growing in the dense forests of the Finn. A postage value with the image of a deadly mushroom under the name "Pale Toadstool" (Amanita phalloides). The issue is printed in sheet of 25 values of poisonous lilac coulor.

Amanita phalloides, commonly known as the death cap, is a deathly mushroom with a long period of latency as its poisons cause major damage to the liver and the kidneys. The death cap is so poisonous that it should not put even into the same basket with mushrooms intended for the kitchen, which can then become equally poisonous. In Estonia the death cap grows in broadleaved forests in August and September.
